Ruegen: Nanny with
hands-on approach wanted
We are currently looking for a warm and qualified team nanny for a family with two children in Altefähr on Ruegen, which is located directly opposite Stralsund. The main focus of the role will be on looking after the younger girl, who is one year old. The older sibling (aged 3) is already being looked after by a nanny who has been with the family for three years.
The family is now specifically looking for another nanny for the younger girl, someone who can slot in well with the existing routine. Both children attend nursery. The role is full-time and includes housework and regular overnight care.
You will get the little one ready for nursery and then take her there together with her sibling. Around 2 or 3 pm, you will collect both children from nursery. Your working hours will then usually run until 7 pm, or until midnight if overnight care is required,this will be on a 24/2 rota in consultation with the second nanny. Accompanying the family on trips to the USA or within Europe is required. You are a qualified nursery teacher or childcare worker and have experience.
You are hands-on and confident in your ability to manage a busy household alongside a lead nanny.
Light housework such as preparing child-friendly meals and occasionally cooking, tidying up after playtime and doing the laundry are just as much a part of your duties as providing educational activities for the children. In doing so, you will organise creative and educational activities that promote the motor and cognitive skills of the one-year-olds in an age-appropriate manner.
It is particularly important to have a warm, reliable and responsible person who can work closely with the lead nanny. You should enjoy working with children and be able to work harmoniously with the nanny as part of a team. A driving licence is essential, and good driving skills are a prerequisite.
