Nanny wanted
to start immediately
We are a family of five living in Munich-Schwabing with our three children, aged 11, 9 and 7 (two boys and one girl). As both parents work full-time, we are looking for an experienced, warm-hearted and proactive nanny who would like to become a long-term part of our family life.
Working Hours
- Approximately 25–32 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, approximately 2:30 pm to 7:30 pm
- Ideally, Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:45 am to take two of the children to school (preferred but not essential)
- One evening per week, including bedtime, usually until around 10:00 pm
- One weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) per month, typically an afternoon and evening including bedtime, or alternatively supporting the family at our holiday home by the lake outside Munich from Saturday to Sunday
- Every eight weeks, sole responsibility for the children over one weekend. Compensatory time off will be provided at the beginning of the following week.
We appreciate a certain degree of flexibility and occasional additional support when needed, while ensuring that working hours remain reliable and well planned.
Your Responsibilities
- Childcare
- Collect the children from school and after-school activities
- Accompany them to sports, music lessons, playdates and appointments
- Plan creative, age-appropriate afternoons and activities
- Play games, read, do arts and crafts and enjoy activities together
- Support with homework, revision and studying, particularly at primary school level (from Year 2 onwards) and the beginning of secondary school (Gymnasium)
- Help prepare for school tests and review learning materials
- Prepare simple meals or serve meals already prepared for the children
- Supervise the evening routine and bedtime
- Family Organisation
In addition to childcare, we are looking for someone who enjoys helping to organise family life, including:
- Planning and coordinating the children’s appointments and activities
- Organising playdates, transport and leisure activities
- Running small errands for the children and the family
- Collecting and dropping off parcels
- Shopping for school, sports and leisure-related items
Household
We already employ a full-time housekeeper who is responsible for cleaning, laundry, cooking and the general organisation of the household and who can also babysit if required. Therefore, this position does not include traditional housekeeping duties. However, we value close, friendly and uncomplicated teamwork within the household.
Requirements
The following are essential:
- Proven experience caring for school-aged children
- Enjoy working with three children of different ages
- A warm, confident and reliable approach
- Ability to work independently with excellent organisational skills
- Fluent German language skills
- A valid driver’s licence and confident driving experience using the family car
- Willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends and at our holiday home
- A genuine interest in a long-term position
- An enhanced criminal background check and excellent, verifiable references
We are looking for someone who takes responsibility, thinks ahead, supports our children’s daily routines and development, while respecting their growing independence as they get older.
