We are seeking an experienced, warm-hearted and dedicated nanny to join an international, high-profile family based in Milan from August onwards, to look after four children on a rota basis with a second nanny. The children are aged between 4 and 7 (three girls) and a 6‑month-old baby. The family is warm and welcoming, and the parents are committed and devoted to their children.
The role requires a candidate with good manners, a well-groomed appearance, absolute discretion and an unconditional willingness to accompany the family on their travels. Weekend trips are an integral part of the role, often to St Moritz or London.
There are four children – three lively, affectionate girls aged between 4 and 7, and a baby boy (6 months old). The language spoken at home is English, but the children understand German (their father is British with Austrian roots). The nanny is expected to speak German with the children. The role is essentially that of a ‘big sister’: someone who can play with the girls wholeheartedly whilst also providing a gentle, consistent structure.
The core working hours are at the weekend, starting late on Friday morning and running until Sunday evening, as well as two afternoons during the week. During the week, the nanny will work alongside the family’s long-standing nanny. At the weekends, she will be responsible for the three girls and the toddler. She usually spends weekend nights with the children, either at the family home or whilst travelling.
A driving licence and good driving skills are required. Separate accommodation near the family will be provided.
