For an international and warm private household in Grünwald, we are looking for an experienced, dedicated and responsible Family Manager.. The ideal candidate will enjoy actively contributing to and shaping the family’s daily life while taking reliable and independent responsibility for both the care of the family’s two young children and the organisation of the day-to-day family routine.
The family has two children, born in 2022 and 2024, and is specifically looking for a long-term commitment with someone who sees themselves as a valuable, trusted and integral part of the family’s everyday life.
This position is ideal for an experienced Family Manager who has already worked for several years in a comparable role and feels equally confident in professional childcare and in the practical organisation of a private household. This is not a traditional housekeeping or cleaning position – a housekeeper already comes twice a week to take care of the cleaning. Instead, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the many organisational and practical tasks that arise in the day-to-day running of a family household.
Responsibilities
- Providing loving, attentive and developmentally supportive childcare
- Encouraging and supporting the children’s development in an age-appropriate and pedagogical way
- Engaging with the children through playful, caring and stimulating activities
- Grocery shopping and preparing dinner
- Taking care of the children’s laundry
- Running various errands and organising and coordinating additional tasks as required
- Supporting the family with the practical organisation of everyday life
It is particularly important to the family to find someone who thinks ahead, takes initiative, sets priorities independently and recognises what needs to be done without requiring constant direction.
A central part of the role is the loving and professional care of the two children, currently aged two and three, during this important stage of their development.
The afternoon currently begins with collecting the first child from nursery in Grünwald at around 3:00 pm. The second child is then collected from Giesing at approximately 3:45 pm. If required, there is the possibility of afternoon childcare until around 4:45 pm.
The remainder of the afternoon and evening includes preparing and enjoying dinner together, followed by the children’s evening and bedtime routine. The family is looking for a Nanny who genuinely enjoys accompanying the children through this important developmental stage with warmth, attentiveness and confidence, while at the same time keeping an overview of the family’s organisational needs.
Position Details
- Monday to Friday, 1:00 pm to 8:00 pm
- 35 hours per week
- Weekends are free
- Live-out position
- Ideally, candidates should live in Munich or within approximately 40 minutes’ travelling time of Grünwald, either by car or public transport
- For a suitable candidate who does not currently live in the area, a studio apartment in Munich may potentially be provided. This would be arranged under a separate rental agreement
- A valid driving licence is essential, together with confident and experienced driving skills
- Flexibility is important to the family
- Willingness to occasionally travel with the family to Mallorca
- Very good English skills are required
- German is an advantage
- French would be an additional plus, but is no longer essential
